Dr. Craig Burns, Chief of Psychiatric Services for the Connecticut Department of Correction, was the keynote speaker.

Craig G. Burns, M.D. is the Chief of Psychiatric Services for the Connecticut Department of Correction. He graduated from Wesleyan University with a B.A. in East Asian Studies, received his M.D. from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, and completed his training in General Adult and Forensic Psychiatry from the Yale University School of Medicine. Dr. Burns' entire career has centered on the evaluation, assessment, and treatment of forensic populations in Connecticut.

In addition to Dr. Burns, there was panel discussion with formerly incarcerated people.

A short video was shown, with time for discussion.

Beverages and snacks were offered throughout the Forum, and a light lunch was served.

Organizations whose activities are related to the criminal justice system, especially prevention, incarceration, and people re-entering society, displayed information during the Forum.
